New here looking for next dog in about 2 years

My name is Nancy and I have a 6 year old NAPWDA Certified cadaver dog and am a member of South Carolina Search and Rescue Dog Association.

Current dog = Czech lines [forgive old picture before he filled out]
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/ped ... 60211.html

He is everything I want. Social but aloof, excellent drives, nerves and agility. Zero issues with other dogs. On the small side at 23 inches is a plus though he is built like a tank.

I also have a female WGR workinglines about the same age but she has severe HD though she does not seem to suffer at all, she was retired from SAR work and now only ocassionly works off a boat. Anyway - she is a snarky lilttle thing when it comes to other females but loves the males.

Starting to already think whether another male would be best [current male is intact but never shown a hint of dog agression, even when insecure snarky dogs have gotten in his face] or a female. Having a dog that has no agression issues has been a joy to me. He has lived with another male who was neutered and did fine with him and does fine with my daughter's formerly intact male beagle mix who was a typical obnoxious puppy. I really want to avoid juggling dogs and pens though I know it can be a reality. Dealing with dog agression is just too draining.

I know some other SAR dog handlers who got their dogs here, have seen one of the dogs, and am impressed. Definitely will be looking towards an older puppy with prelims or young adult as I figure when current dog is 8, I need to start training his replacement.
