Randy A. Kromer

Randy A. Kromer, 47, of Pear Road, Walnutport, Lehigh Township, died Monday night in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus. Born in Allentown, he was son and stepson of Harold E. and wife Annamae (Andrews) Kromer of Danielsville and Renae A. (Heiney) wife of Terry Voght of Slatington. Randy owned and operated Kromerhaus Kennels, Lehigh Township, for 25 years. He also worked as a police officer for Slatington Borough, and formerly in Bethlehem Township.

Randy was owner of K-9 Police Academy and breeder of German Shepherd dogs. He was a member of Lehigh Valley Schutzhund Club and United Police and Corrections K-9 Association. He was Emergency Management Coordinator for Lehigh Township. Randy was a member of Blue Ridge Country Club, Palmerton, Roosevelt Democratic club, Danielsville. He was a 1979 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School and 1983 graduate of Allentown Police Academy.

Randy enjoyed hunting, motorcycling, camping, and bowling at Slatebowl, Lehigh Gap. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State fan.

Survivors: Fiancee, Denise I. Miller, with whom he resided; parents; paternal grandmother, Mildred (Mack) Kromer of Walnutport; stepdaughter, Heather Hughes of Northampton; stepgranddaughter, Alexia; sister, Wanda L. Lalik of Slatington; brother, Kevin and wife Kelly of Walnutport; niece, Nicole Kromer; two great-nieces; nephews, Jeffrey White Jr., JesseJo Heffelfinger, Joshua Lalik, Aaron Kromer, Kyle Kromer; three great-nephews. Services: 10 a.m., Friday, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pa. 18067. Call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, and 9 to 10 a.m., Friday, in the funeral home. Interment, Indianland Cemetery, Almond Road, Lehigh Township. Contributions: American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
